Glasgow at Night — Through My Lens
Glasgow isn't just a city I live in — it's a place that lives in me.
There’s something about this city that gets under your skin. It’s not always easy to describe, but once you feel it, you never forget it. That quiet resilience, the warmth behind the rough edges, the humour in the everyday — that’s the Glasgow I know.
By day, it’s a city of grit and heart. But by night, it becomes something else entirely. The streetlights dance on the rain-soaked pavements. The old buildings seem to whisper their stories. Familiar places start to glow in ways you don’t expect — like the city is letting you in on a secret.
That’s when I feel most connected. That’s when I pick up my camera.
My new short video is a love letter to Glasgow after dark. It begins with me — the person behind the lens — and moves through the city I walk every day, ending in the photographs I’ve captured along the way. They say "People Make Glasgow," and I believe it. But so do the shadows, the silence, the echoes in stone.
This city isn’t polished or perfect. But it’s honest. And that’s what makes it beautiful.
