Two police officers have been taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Glasgow's busy M8 motorway.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at Junction 13 (Provan Interchange) in the East End of the city shortly after 1 pm on Wednesday, July 24.

Police reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash, one of which was a police car.

Four people have been hospitalized, including the two on-duty officers.

Traffic Scotland indicated that the eastbound carriageway remains closed, with local diversions in place. Road users are advised to avoid the area.
